The integration of China's cast iron industry and the new energy sector is evolving from structural support to functional integration, forming a three in one technological loop of materials thermal management intelligent manufacturing. In the field of new energy vehicles, high-strength ductile iron is widely used in brake discs, motor housings, and chassis structural components. With its high damping and low cost advantages, it still plays an irreplaceable role in thermal management and vibration control in the lightweight wave dominated by aluminum alloy die-casting, with a weight reduction of over 15% per piece. In the field of wind power, high toughness ductile iron such as QT400-18AL is used for the wheel hub and gearbox housing of units above 8MW, achieving an impact energy of ≥ 10J at -40 ℃ through Ni and Nb alloying, supporting the extreme environment operation of offshore wind power. Domestic leading enterprises such as Riyue Co., Ltd. and Jinlei Co., Ltd. have achieved global supply chain penetration. In energy storage systems, cast iron components are innovatively applied to container shells and thermal management modules, utilizing their high specific heat capacity (approximately 0.46 J/g · K) to achieve heat buffering, effectively suppressing the risk of battery thermal runaway, and improving system safety redundancy. The industry is synchronously promoting AI visual quality inspection, digital twin process simulation, and waste sand recycling (with a utilization rate of over 75%), which is in line with the 'dual carbon' goal. By 2025, the demand for cast iron parts in the new energy field is expected to exceed 35%, and the localization rate will exceed 92%.
